Perfection isn’t about getting everything right all of the time, and doing it better than everyone else.   I spent many years in that mindset and it’s an unattainable goal that leads to unhappiness.  Be kind to yourself today when you fall short of your perfectionist ideals.   Some people like saying positive affirmations or mantras.  Why not try out this one:

“Today in every way I will be the best I am and do the best I can.”
