Reflections of God

We are all reflections of God and each other…….and therein lies our power!

To believe that we are all made in the image of God is to understand that we are all created equally on Earth. This means that when we judge another, we judge the part of ourself which is reflected in that person. Every action we take affects all others because we are so interconnected throughout each lifetime. Love is the key which holds us all together in peace and harmony and love resides in our hearts.

Acts of love and kindness

Doesn’t it feel great when we are on the receiving end of an act of kindness: the door held open for us; the cup of tea in bed; the prayer said on our behalf! Know that it feels even better to do an act of kindness for someone else, and not expect any praise or thanks in return. So today, hold the door open for someone else; make a cup of tea for another; or say a prayer for someone in need just because it feels like the kind thing to do.

Under the Rainbow

Under the Rainbow

An enchantment through my scalp
Like a rainbow emerging from source
Expanding and inspiring
Those held under its dome.
In this cocoon I am and was
Lustrous threads of connectedness
to all that is.
In this world I observe the other –
Beautiful, exciting, exhausting chaos.
In this moment, there is no other.
An infusion of colour
Dispersing in wonder
Showering my thoughts in grace.

This poem is inspired by those moments when I feel really connected to God and my Higher Self when meditating. Connecting in this way every day is so beneficial to our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. There are many mobile apps which you can try to take even a few minutes’ time-out from your busy days. Why not start today?

Time to give back: Ban the Microbeads

tree of lifeThe Earth is amazing, isn’t it?  Mother Nature gives of herself – climate to provide protection and rebirth, trees to cleanse the atmosphere, rivers to provide sustenance and growth, and so on.    Why don’t we decide today (and every day!) to give a little back.  First thing you can do is actually quite major and that is to BAN MICROBEADS from your home.  You probably don’t know you have them!!  These are nasty tiny plastic beads used as exfoliators in personal care products.  They cannot biodegrade and are flushed into the seas, ingested by fish, and then ultimately by us.   To check if a product has microbeads, download the app from Google Play or App Store.  This scans the barcode of a product to check if it contains microbeads.  Learn more at www.beatthemicrobead.org and throw away any products which contain microbeads.  This is an easy, but very powerful way to show kindness to the Earth!
